Michael

Oddly enough, this song called “Michael” reminds me of my friend Brian.

Brian and I met in high school and lived a block away from each other, so we’d carpool. Our commute was about 30 minutes each way, and we’d listen to whatever we’d downloaded. It was the first time I started listening to music beyond the popular tunes. Brian was a bit of a music nerd and into torrenting, so he’d download anything he came across. We used What.CD a lot.

This tune is a little melancholic and talks about friends missing each other. My feelings about the singer make this a complicated listen now, but I still put it on every now and then when I think of Brian.
