Duval Timothy has had a hold on me this year. I’ve been hooked since Pitchfork pointed me to Rain Music, his album with Carlos Niño.

This tune is lovely and well worth a listen. It opens with a staccato rhythm, then carries those phrases into a lush middle section. I can’t help putting it on during walks around my neighborhood. It’s my soundtrack for marveling at the tiniest things.
